CAG Newsletter

Starting in 2009, the CAG Newsletter will be published four times per year (see publication/submission schedule below). It includes news on members, bibliographic and technical features, and job announcements. Regular features are The President's Column, the Student Zone and Job Opportunities in Geography.
All CAG members receive a subscription to the newsletter as part of their membership.

Commentary Series Submissions
Submissions to the CAG Commentary Series (800 words max.) which address an issue of public interest from a geographical perspective are invited, in English or French, and should be sent to the editor at: cag@geog.mcgill.ca . Where material that has already appeared in the press is submitted, the author must ensure that permission has been obtained from the original publishers for the CAG to reprint their commentary. Submission does not guarantee publication.
"Job Opportunities in Geography" Submissions
Job advertisements must be submitted electronically (no formatting) to the editor at cag@geog.mcgill.ca by the deadlines listed below for publication in the following month. There is no charge to universities for this service, however inclusion is subject to availability of space.
Advertising
Our policy does not allow advertisements to be published directly in the newsletter however we do accept advertising material in the form of a flyer which can mailed with the newsletter as an insert. All material must first be approved. You may send a copy of your material by email cag@geog.mcgill.ca or hard copy by fax (514) 398-7437. Once approved you will need to provide our publisher/mailing house with 1000 hard copies or if you prefer you may arrange to have our publisher print your flyer for an additional fee.
A one time insertion plus mailing in the CAG newsletter is $125.00 Canadian dollars plus tax and you will be billed after the newsletter has been published and distributed to all our membership of approximately 1000 members.
We must receive your material by the deadline submissions listed above.
