Yvon a entamé un doctorat en études internationales en 2022 à l’Université Laval. Ses réflexions portent sur « Gouvernance et stratégies de gestion de l’aide axées sur la résilience systémique en faveur de la justice climatique au niveau des Petits États insulaires en développement de la Caraïbe », sous la direction de Nathalie GRAVEL (Professeure FFGG ULAVAL, Géographie) et de Sophie BRIÈRE (Professeure FSA ULAVAL, Management). Il occupe actuellement le poste d’auxiliaire d’enseignement au cours de ‘‘Gestion de projets en développement international et action humanitaire’’, en appui à Mme Sophie BRIÈRE.

Jaimy Fischer
Provost's Postdoctoral Fellow
University of Toronto, Scarborough
Jaimy Fischer (Ph.D.) has training in GIScience, healthy cities, urban transportation and mobility, and community-engaged research. Within all these areas, she works to centre principles of equity and inclusion. As a Michif (Red River Métis) person and researcher, Jaimy has a strong passion for social justice and equitable mobility, and for decolonizing and Indigenizing practices within institutions and disciplines such as planning, education, and GIScience. Jaimy has extensive experience conducting and teaching GIS & sociospatial equity analyses, particularly in the context of urban planning and intervention research. Their PhD research investigated equity in spatial data and interventions aimed at supporting bicycling for transport, and current research focuses on transport reconciliation, equity in spatial accessibility to daily needs, and urban trails as pathways for Indigenous health and inclusion.

Jenna Dixon
Senior Research Scientist
Equity Science lab, University of British Columbia
Jenna Dixon is a Senior Research Scientist with the Equity Science lab, University of British Columbia Okanagan. She obtained her PhD in Geography (focus in Health Geography) from the University of Western Ontario in 2014 and subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the University of Waterloo at the Department of Geography and Environmental Management and the School of Public Health and Health Sciences. Jenna currently sits as the chair of the Geography of Health and Health Care Study Group (GHHCSG) in the CAG and has previously served as vice-Chair of the group, and on the CAG’s Nominations Committee (2022-23). She also currently works as one of the Managing Editors at the journal Social Science & Medicine at both the Health Policy and Medical Geography desks. Jenna’s research focuses on health equity, both globally and in Canada. She has a particular interest in the implications of researcher practices and academic knowledge production as a determinant of equity.

Suzanne Mills
Associate Professor
School of Labour Studies and the School of Earth, Environment and Society, McMaster University
Dr. Suzanne Mills is an Associate Professor who is cross appointed in the School of Labour Studies and the School of Earth, Environment and Society at McMaster University. Mills’ research has explored multiple dimensions of identity, work and collective representation in northern and underdeveloped regions. In so doing, it has contributed to scholarship in Labour Geography, Northern Studies and Feminist Economic Geography. Past projects have addressed a wide variety of topics including the role of colonial and indigenous institutions in extractive employment and the employment experiences and pathways of LGBTQ+ people living in deindustrializing regions. Currently, Mills is leading a project about work-related internal migration to resource peripheries through the lenses of uneven development and social reproduction. Mills is committed to community-engaged research and has worked in partnership with a variety of organizations including Indigenous communities and governments, LGBTQ+ organizations, worker centres, and trade unions. She has participated in SSHRC adjudication committees, is on the editorial board of the Journal of Industrial relations and served as a regular reviewer for a wide variety of journals. She holds an MSc in Wildlife Biology (McGill 1998), an MSc in Conservation Biology (U of Alberta, 2002) and PhD in Human Geography (University of Saskatchewan, 2007).
