Brandon University

This fall the Brandon University Geography Department welcomed a new member, Dr. Alex Koiter, to its ranks. Alex completed his PhD from the University of Northern BC and brings with him teaching and research expertise in geomorphology and watershed management. This fall also marks the first offering of a new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) certification course in compliance with Transport Canada. This course is one of the first of its kind in Canada and offers students instruction on everything from pilot navigation to map interpretation to Canadian aviation regulations. A big congratulations to Brandice Hollier (MSc candidate with Drs. P. Whittington and C. Malcolm) who was awarded a Manitoba Graduate Scholarship.
